ππππππ πππππππππ liefert uns neuen Stoff. Das neue Album πΌπ£π©πππ’π¨ ππ πππ ππ£πππ§ππ§π€πͺπ£π erscheint am 28. August via Mighty Music.
Nach einigem Hin und Her entstand schlieΓlich der Titel βAnthems From The Undergroundβ.
Single „Don’t Be Mad“

english version

Anyone hungry for hot, tasty rock ’n‘ roll will soon be satisfied, cause ππππππ πππππππππ is serving up new stuff. The new album πΌπ£π©πππ’π¨ ππ πππ ππ£πππ§ππ§π€πͺπ£π drops on August 28 via Mighty Music.
ππππππ πππππππππ stand for a brand of hard rock that, despite modern tendencies, never feels polished or sanitized. The US band blends the gritty sleaze spirit of the late β80s with an energy and presence that evokes smoky club stages far more than glossy highβend production. Since their formation in 2013, theyβve carved out a firm place in the international scene with uncompromising live shows, honest rock βnβ roll, and a sound that moves between raw, earthy punch and arenaβready hooks.
Bassist Chris Taylor comments on the concept and title of the album:
On this album we decided to bring in a different producer. We love everything (the previous producer) Andy (Reilly) did on our previous albums, but creatively we thought it was time to do something different and have someone push us out of our comfort zone. Every record we want to grow as a band and I think Pete brought out the best of us individually in the studio. When we were trying to decide on an album name, DK and I were leaving the studio one day kicking around ideas. I told him I thought we should embrace the fact that we were an underground band and pay tribute to fans that support underground music. After kicking around a few ideas back and forth, βAnthems From The Undergroundβ was born.
Times change, but Iβd argue that bands like ππππππ πππππππππ and other representatives of this uncompromising rock sound would have easily filled stadiums back in the β70s and β80s. And since I personally prefer the immediacy of a sweaty club over the anonymity of a giant arena, I can only agree with Chris Taylorβs statement. For bands like this, closeness to the audience isnβt a side effect. Itβs part of their lifeblood. They breathe that atmosphere in and revel in it. And thatβs exactly where their music hits with the greatest impact.
The song βRock βnβ Roll Casualtyβ reflects this attitude perfectly. Itβs a track that instantly makes you feel at home in the world of rock βnβ roll. It comes with an easy, laidβback groove, and the burst of bold energy unleashed toward the end could have shown up a bit earlier or somewhere in between. All in all, itβs a strong anthem, brought to life with a great video. Youβll spot plenty of rock βnβ roll legends in there.
The album opens with the track „Generation Time Bomb“. It radiates good vibes with a laid-back attitude. Naturally, punchy riffs are a staple for ππππππ πππππππππ, as is a proper guitar solo. Itβs a good way to kick off an album. Towards the end, the song builds up intensity, which then unleashes more into the second track „Dance Of Destruction“. The tempo picks up, and things get significantly wilder. That’s a song that would fit perfectly at a rodeo contest. Itβs right up my alley; the untamed guitar solo, in particular, really gets me fired up.
Single „Don’t Be Mad“
With the single „Don’t Be Mad“ ππππππ πππππππππ head in a different direction, tackling an emotional subject: relationships that have taken a turn for the worse. The song is somewhat softer and carries a slightly melancholic undertone in places, yet it still kicks in with more energy sometimes. ππππππ πππππππππ never entirely lose their energetic vibe, even when things get more serious and contemplative. This approach suits the song’s themeβending relationships that no longer work, characterized by constant ups and downs, eventual escalation, and everyone losing their minds. And before things get truly ugly, it is best to simply walk away and leave it all behind.
ππππππ πππππππππ always serve up their rock ’n‘ roll dishes with a fresh twist, ensuring things never get dull. „Silver Moon“, for instance, made a strong impression on me with its wild vibe inbetween. While vocalist Revelle generally sounds pretty laid-back, here he unleashes intense outbursts, screaming into the mic. An interesting mix. With their fresh approach, ππππππ πππππππππ keep the rest of the album rocking at a highly entertaining level. And I would like to emphasize that there are no heartbreak ballads or sentimental moments on the album.
Conclusion
On πΌπ£π©πππ’π¨ ππ πππ ππ£πππ§ππ§π€πͺπ£π, ππππππ πππππππππ present a powerful blend of spirited rock attitude and melodic sensibilities that makes for a highly entertaining listen. There isn’t a single weak moment to dampen the mood; it’s an energetic album through and through, wonderfully capturing and projecting the electrifying spirit of rock. A must-buy for any fan of classic rock.
