𝐍𝐞𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐮𝐦 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝐚𝐦 𝟐𝟑. 𝐎𝐤𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫

TONY IOMMI müsste jedem ein Begriff sein, der sich mit Rock und Metal beschäftigt. Er gilt als Ur-Vater des Heavy Metal und hat sich über Jahrzehnte in der Szene ein ewiges Denkmal gesetzt. Er hatte damals im Jahr 1969 zusammen mit Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler und Bill Ward die legendäre Band BLACK SABBATH zum Leben erweckt. Der Beginn einer einzigartigen Reise, auf der er mit so vielen anderen legendären Musikern gearbeitet hat.

Jetzt ist TONY IOMMI 78 Jahre alt und er denkt nicht daran, sich zur Ruhe zur setzen. Er hat alles erreicht und wurde für seine Verdienste natürlich auch in der Rock & Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen. Also warum macht er immer noch Musik? Einfach, weil Rock & Roll in seiner DNA steckt. Und er hat folgenden Luxus: Er kann einfach komplett sein Ding machen, ohne das ihm einer reinredet.

Die neue Single „World Alone“ kündigt das neue Album 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙧𝙠 an, welches via BMG Records erscheinen wird. Mehr Infos dazu nach dem Video. Auf 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙧𝙠 wird TONY IOMMI gesanglich durchgehend von Jørn Lande begleitet, der an sämtlichen Songs als Co-Autor beteiligt war. Komplettiert wird die Band durch Bassistin Becky Baldwin und Schlagzeuger Karl Brazil.

Es dürfte klar sein, dass man von Tony und seinen Band nur top Musik geliefert bekommt. Und man hat sich für die erste Single „World Alone“ hinsichtlich der optischen Präsentation etwas besonderes einfallen lassen: Ein Kurzfilm in cineastischer Aufmachung. Das Video spielt in einer retrofuturistischen, dystopischen Welt. Die Hauptfigur – The Believer – wird in ein verstörendes Videospiel hineingezogen, in dem sie um ihr Leben kämpft und schließlich Erlösung sucht.

Beim Sound bleibt man ganz klassisch und liefert einen grandiosen Rocksong, der einfach perfekt inszeniert ist. Der Song wird geprägt von scharfen Riffs, die kraftvoll zubeißen und genialen Solos, die die Klasse von Tony verkörpern. Gesanglich passt Jørn Lande wie die Faust aufs Auge, denn bei dem Sound braucht es eine starke Präsenz, um den Sound zu untermauern, anstatt unterzugehen. Jørn füllt diese Rolle mit seiner kraftvollen markanten Stimme super aus.

Am 4. September erscheint eine limitierte 7″-Vinylsingle von „World Alone“. Auf der B-Seite befindet sich exklusiv eine Instrumentalversion des Songs. Die Single erscheint in einer hochwertigen Hülle mit Folienprägung.

From The Dark wird in verschiedenen hochwertigen Vinyl- und CD-Editionen erhältlich sein. Die Doppel-LP erscheint in vier exklusiven Farbvarianten, die jeweils über unterschiedliche Handelspartner erhältlich sind. Für maximale Dynamik wurde das Album mit 45 U/min auf Doppelvinyl geschnitten.

Die luxuriöse Gatefold-Verpackung besteht aus hochwertigem schwarzem Karton und verfügt über eine Stanzung in Form von Tony Iommis charakteristischem Kreuz. Dahinter verbirgt sich eine atmosphärisch düstere Illustration, die das Album visuell begleitet. Ein Teil des Motivs ist bereits im geschlossenen Zustand sichtbar und entfaltet sich vollständig beim Herausziehen der Innenhülle.

TONY IOMMI should be a familiar name to anyone interested in rock and metal. Regarded as a founding father of heavy metal, he has cemented his enduring legacy in the scene over the course of decades. Back in 1969, he brought the legendary band BLACK SABBATH to life alongside Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—marking the start of a unique journey that saw him collaborate with so many other legendary musicians.

TONY IOMMI is now 78 years old, and he has no intention of retiring. He has achieved everything and, naturally, has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for his contributions. So why does he keep making music? Simply because rock & roll is in his DNA. Plus, he enjoys a certain luxury: he can simply do his own thing without anyone telling him what to do.

The new single „World Alone“ heralds the upcoming album 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙧𝙠, which will be released via BMG Records. More details follow below the video. On 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙧𝙠, TONY IOMMI is accompanied throughout by vocalist Jørn Lande, who co-wrote every song. The lineup is rounded out by bassist Becky Baldwin and drummer Karl Brazil.

It goes without saying that Tony and his collaborators deliver nothing but top-notch music. For the first single, „World Alone“, they came up with something special regarding the visual presentation: a short film with a cinematic aesthetic. The video is set in a retro-futuristic, dystopian world. The protagonist—The Believer—is drawn into a disturbing video game where they fight for their life and ultimately seek redemption.

In terms of sound, they stick to a classic approach, delivering a magnificent rock song that is executed to perfection. The track is defined by sharp, biting riffs and brilliant solos that showcase Tony’s class. Vocally, Jørn Lande is a perfect fit; a sound like this demands a commanding presence to anchor the music rather than getting lost in the mix, and Jørn fills that role superbly with his powerful, distinctive voice.

A limited-edition 7″ vinyl single of „World Alone“ will be released on September 4. The B-side features an exclusive instrumental version of the song. The single comes in a high-quality sleeve with foil stamping.

𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙧𝙠 will be available in various high-quality vinyl and CD editions. The double LP comes in four exclusive color variants, each available through different retail partners. To ensure maximum dynamic range, the album has been cut at 45 RPM on double vinyl.

The luxurious gatefold packaging is made of high-quality black cardstock and features a die-cut in the shape of Tony Iommi’s signature cross.
