Die deutsche Band 𝐏𝐘𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐒 ist schon seit Jahrzehnten aktiv und gehört zu der Sorte Bands, die sich im Laufe der Zeit nie auf eine bestimmte Stilrichtung festlegen ließen. Kaum eine deutsche Band hat in den vergangenen drei Jahrzehnten eine derart radikale stilistische Metamorphose vollzogen wie 𝐏𝐘𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐒. Anfang der 90er entstiegen sie dem Death‑ und Doom‑Metal‑Untergrund: Growls, schleppende Riffs, düstere Melodien.

Mitte der 90er folgte eine krasse Transformation. 𝐏𝐘𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐒 öffneten sich Alternative Rock, Punk und Pop‑Elementen und schrieben plötzlich Songs, die MTV‑Rotation und Festivalbühnen gleichermaßen eroberten. Clean Vocals, große Refrains und eine neue Leichtigkeit prägten Alben wie Sweet X‑Rated Nothings und Twinaleblood.

Nach einer ruhigeren Phase in den 2000ern kehrte 𝐏𝐘𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐒 ab 2015 mit einer ambitionierten Steampunk‑Trilogie zurück; mit melodischer Härte und einem erzählerischen Konzept.

Nach fünf Jahren kehren sie nun mit der Single „Uncontrolled“ zurück. Jeder wird sicherlich neugierig darauf sein, wie die Band heut klingt. Nun, sie stehen unter Feuer, klingen verdammt hart und verdammt schnell. „Uncontrolled“ ist ein Song, der auf der Überholspur lebt.

Sänger Flo V. Schwarz beschreibt “Uncontrolled“ als roh und ungefiltert. 

Es fühlte sich befreiend und brutal ehrlich an, ihn zu schreiben. Der Song ist emotional aufgeladen und fängt den gewissen Moment ein, in dem die Hormone verrückt spielen. Er beschreibt, was in jungen Menschen vor sich geht, wenn sich alles verändert, während sie versuchen, ihren Platz in der Welt zu finden.

The German band 𝐏𝐘𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐒 has been active for decades and belongs to that breed of groups who never allowed themselves to be tied to a single stylistic direction. Hardly any other German band has undergone such a radical stylistic metamorphosis over the past three decades as 𝐏𝐘𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐒. In the early ’90s, they emerged from the death‑ and doom‑metal underground: growls, dragging riffs, dark melodies.

In the mid‑’90s, a drastic transformation followed. 𝐏𝐘𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐒 opened themselves up to alternative rock, punk, and pop elements, suddenly writing songs that conquered both MTV rotation and festival stages. Clean vocals, big choruses, and a new sense of lightness defined albums like Sweet X‑Rated Nothings and Twinaleblood.

After a quieter phase in the 2000s, 𝐏𝐘𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐒 returned in 2015 with an ambitious steampunk trilogy, marked by melodic heaviness and a strong narrative concept.

Now they return with the single “Uncontrolled„. Naturally, everyone will be curious to hear what the band sounds like today. Well, they’re under fire — sounding damn heavy and damn fast. “Uncontrolled” is a track that lives squarely in the fast lane.

It felt liberating and brutally honest to write it. The song is emotionally charged and captures that very moment when hormones go wild. It reflects what young people experience when everything is changing while they’re trying to find their place in the world.
