Ich hatte euch vor einiger Zeit die Band 𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐃𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 aus Belgien vorgestellt, da ich ihr musikalisches Konzept sehr interessant finde. Im Jahr 2023 brachten sie ihr Debüt Tribulations raus. Das musikalische Konzept hat als Fundament den Death Metal, aber die Band baut auf diesem Fundament ihr eigenes Konstrukt.

Grundsätzlich erschaffen 𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐃𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 eine düstere harte Musikwelt, in der sie sowohl mit extrem harten Auswüchsen aufwarten und finstere doomige Abgründe aufmachen, aber darüber hinaus mit melodisch melancholischen Zwischentönen versehen. Es lohnt sich hier durchaus mal in das Album Tribulations reinzuhören.

Aber die Band hat nun ganz aktuell ihre EP Revelations veröffentlicht. Die Songs zeigen eine konsequente Bestätigung ihres musikalischen Ansatzes. Dabei hat natürlich eine weitere Verfeinerung ihres ohnehin schon handwerklich anspruchsvollen Sounds stattgefunden.

Der Gesang von Tine Vanmuysen spielt dabei eine bedeutende Rolle, denn sie hat eine breite Range zu bieten, die der Musik einen emotionale Varianz beschert. Dunkle Growls, aggressive Screams bis hin zu cleanen Passagen sind Teil ihres reichhaltigen Repertoirs. Das finde ich schon ziemlich beeindruckend. Es ist wieder die Art von Musik, wo die Grundrichtung klar ist, aber man nie genau weiß, was einen erwartet. So entsteht eine unheimlich spannende Erfahrung. Hier ist der Song „Iskariot“!

Weiter geht es mit „The Rupture“, der gleich zu Beginn mit einem starken Groove auftritt. Die extremen Vocals von Tine sind geradezu spürbar. Wunderbar gelingt der Übergang in die melodische Schiene, der sich dann auch Tine anschließt. Das sind Gegensätze, die hier gekonnt vereint werden.

Ich komme zur aktuellen Single „Mathemtical Design“. Das Tempo ist gemäßigt, die Riffs massiv, während die Leads fies reinschneiden und Unheil verbreiten. Die Vocals vervollständigen perfekt die bedrohliche Stimmung.

Die Songs sind handwerklich hervorragend ausgearbeitet, wobei wobei die Band auf eine angenehme Abwechslung achten. Jeder Track erweitert das musikalische Spektrum der Band auf seine ganz eigene, fesselnde Weise. Das gilt auch für die Songs „Generational Curses“ und „Systems In The Dark“, die bisher noch nicht als Single-Auskopplung veröffentlicht wurden. Man muss sich keine Sorgen machen, dass diese Stücke weniger ausdrucksstark auftreten. „Generational Curses“ entpuppt sich als ein bösartiges, düsteres und unheimliches Werk, das sogar heftige Black-Metal-Attacken entfesselt.

„Systems In The Dark“ ist der letzte Song auf Revelations und weist zudem die längste Spielzeit auf. Hier verbinden 𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐃𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 klaren Gesang mit extremen Vocals zu einem Song, der gewaltig klingt, aber niemals träge wirkt. Der klare Gesang webt melancholische Fäden ein, während die extremen Vocals tiefste Abgründe offenbaren. „Systems In The Dark“ mündet in ein intensives Finale, dass noch ein irres Gitarrensolo abfeuert! Ein großartiger Abschluss!

Fazit

𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐃𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 setzen ihre Reise mit Revelations fort, die sie schon mit dem Debüt Tribulations so eindrucksvoll begonnen haben. Sie haben sich ihre eigene Welt des Extreme Metal erschaffen, die von finsterer Düsternis und schwerer Melancholie geprägt ist. Eine faszinierende Mischung, die durch die erstklassige handwerkliche Umsetzung ihre Wirkung noch intensiver entfaltet und eine dichte fühlbare Atmosphäre erschaffen, ganz ohne Einsatz von Synthies. Für mich eine Band, die sich durch hervorragende Qualitätsmerkmale von der Masse abhebt.

I introduced you to the Belgian band 𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐃𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 WORLD some time ago, because I find their musical concept highly intriguing. In 2023, they released their debut Tribulations. The band’s musical foundation is rooted in death metal, but on top of that foundation they construct a sound entirely their own.

At their core, 𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐃𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 create a dark and punishing musical landscape. They unleash both extremely harsh outbursts and open up bleak, doom‑laden abysses, yet they also weave in melodic, melancholic undertones. It’s definitely worth giving their album Tribulations a listen.

But the band also has new songs in the pipeline. Three singles have been released in recent weeks and will feature on the upcoming EP Revelations. These tracks represent a consistent affirmation of their musical approach, while also reflecting a further refinement of a sound that was already technically sophisticated.

Tine Vanmuysen’s vocals play a significant role in this, as she offers a range that lends emotional variety to the music. Her diverse repertoire spans everything from dark growls and aggressive screams to clean vocal passages. I find that truly impressive. It’s the kind of music where the general direction is clear, yet you never quite know what to expect—creating a tremendously exciting experience. Here is the song „Iskariot“!

Next up is „The Rupture“, which kicks off with a powerful groove. Tine’s extreme vocals are practically palpable. The transition into a melodic style is executed beautifully, with Tine joining in as well—a skillful blending of contrasting elements.

I come to the very latest single, „Mathematical Design“. The tempo is moderate and the riffs are massive, while the leads cut in viciously and spread a sense of doom. The vocals perfectly complement the menacing atmosphere.

The songs are expertly crafted, with the band ensuring a pleasing sense of variety. Each track expands the band’s musical spectrum in its own unique, captivating way. This also applies to the songs „Generational Curses“ and „Systems In The Dark,“ neither of which has been released as a single so far. There is no need to worry that these tracks might lack impact; „Generational Curses“ proves to be a vicious, dark, and eerie piece that even unleashes fierce black metal onslaughts.

„Systems In The Dark“ is the final track on Revelations and also boasts the longest runtime. Here, 𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐃𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 blend clean and extreme vocals in a song that sounds massive yet never sluggish. The clean vocals weave threads of melancholy, while the extreme vocals reveal the darkest of abysses. The track builds to an intense finale and ignites an incredible guitar solo.

Conclusion

𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐃𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 continue the journey they so impressively began with their debut, Tribulations, by releasing Revelations. They have crafted their own world of extreme metal, defined by profound darkness and heavy melancholy. It is a captivating blend that makes an even deeper impact thanks to first-class craftsmanship, creating a dense, palpable atmosphere—all without the use of synthesizers. For me, this is a band that stands out from the crowd through exceptional quality.
