David Reece gehört zu den Stimmen, die man in der Hard‑Rock‑ und Heavy‑Metal‑Landschaft sofort erkennt: kraftvoll, rau, mit einem warmen, bluesigen Kern. So kann er auch in härteren musikalischen Gefilden eindrucksvoll und mitreißend bestehen. Deswegen war es dem umtriebigen Künstler auch möglich in verschiedenen Bands mit unterschiedlicher Ausrichtung tätig zu sein, nämlich von melodischem Hard Rock bis zu klassischem Heavy Metal. Seit seinem Durchbruch Ende der Achtziger prägt der US‑Sänger mit seiner kraftvollen, bluesgetränkten Stimme Bands wie ACCEPT, 𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐈𝐑, BONFIRE oder IRON ALLIES. Reece steht also seit Jahrzehnten für koninuierliche Kreativität und Mitgestaltung der Szene.

𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐈𝐑 wurde als US‑amerikanische Hard‑Rock‑Band 1991 von Sänger David Reece gegründet. Leider war der Band nicht der große Erfolg gegönnt und sie löste sich wieder auf, aber sie kehrten wieder zurück. Nun hat sich David entschieden, das kommende Album via El Puerto Records zu veröffentlichen. Er sagt dazu folgendes:

Hallo zusammen! Hier ist David Reece vom Bangalore Choir mit tollen Neuigkeiten! Ja, ich bin wieder zur Familie von El Puerto Records zurückgekehrt, denn nach reiflicher Überlegung hatte ich das Bedürfnis, mit einem Label zusammenzuarbeiten, das meinen Ideen Gehör schenkt, eigene Ideen einbringt und mit mir gemeinsam daran arbeitet, die bestmögliche Platte zu produzieren.

Wie viele von euch wissen, habe ich bereits zahlreiche Platten über El Puerto veröffentlicht und habe vollstes Vertrauen, dass sie die nächste Platte des Bangalore Choir herausbringen und euch allen zugänglich machen werden. Ich möchte die Rückkehr des großartigen Andy Susemihl an der Lead- und Rhythmusgitarre sowie im Hintergrundgesang erwähnen, ebenso wie zwei neue Freunde, die in der Branche bestens bekannt sind: an der Lead- und Rhythmusgitarre Steve Gordon MIA und am Schlagzeug Tommy McWilliams.

Steve, Tommy und ich haben unermüdlich daran gearbeitet, einen großartigen Nachfolger für das Bangalore-Choir-Album „Rapid Fire Succession – On Target Part 2“ zu schreiben, und ich habe wirklich das Gefühl, dass wir damit einen Volltreffer gelandet haben! Noch gibt es keine näheren Informationen über das kommende Album, was dieses Jahr erscheinen soll. Aber hier habt ihr zwei Songs, die den Sound von 𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐈𝐑 sehr gut repräsentieren (noch via BraveWords Records erschienen). Da ist zunächst „Bullet Train“ als klassische flotte Heavy Metal Hymne, die sicherlich auch live super zündet, denn der Refrain lässt sich hervorragend mitsingen. Scharfe Riffs, tolle Melodien und ein megastarkes Solo!

Anschließend könnt ihr mehr die emotional berührende Seite kennenlernen, wenn ihr die Ballade „I Never Meant To“ genießt. Handwerklich ohne Fehl und Tadel mit einem schönen Gespür für Details ist dieser Song wundervoll gelungen.

So schaue ich der Veröffentlichung sehr gespannt entgegen und freue mich, wenn es den ersten musikalischen Output vom neuen Album zu hören gibt, den ich euch dann hier vorstellen werde.

David Reece is one of those voices you recognize instantly in the hard rock and heavy metal landscape: powerful, gritty, yet marked by a warm, blues‑tinged core. It’s a combination that allows him to shine even in heavier musical territory with impressive force and emotional pull. This versatility is also the reason why the tireless singer has been able to work in bands with very different stylistic directions: from melodic hard rock to classic heavy metal. Steve and Tommy and I worked tirelessly to write a great follow up to the Bangalore Choir album Rapid fire succession On Target part 2 and I really feel we’ve knocked it out of the park on this one! Also on bass the great Gorka Alegre returns fasten your seatbelts rockers!

There are still no further details about the upcoming album, which is expected to be released later this year. But here are two songs that perfectly represent the sound of 𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐈𝐑 (still released via BraveWords Records). First up is “Bullet Train“, a classic, fast‑paced heavy metal anthem that will no doubt hit hard in a live setting as well – the chorus practically begs to be sung along to. Sharp riffs, great melodies and a killer solo round it all off.

After that, you can discover the more emotional side of the band with the ballad “I Never Meant To“. Crafted with flawless musicianship and a fine sense for detail, this track is beautifully executed.
