𝐌𝐄𝐙𝐙𝐑𝐎𝐖 sind eine Thrash Metal Band aus Schweden. Ende letzten Jahres haben sie ihr Album Embrace The Awakening veröffentlicht (Review), auf dem euch saustarker Thrash Metal geboten wird. Mein Fazit zu dem Album lautete wie folgt:

MEZZROW beweisen, dass auch Thrash Metal aus Schweden mehr als überzeugend sein kann. Mit Embrace The Awakening gelingt MEZZROW ein Album, das sich tief in der Tradition des Bay-Area-Thrash verwurzelt, dabei aber keineswegs rückwärtsgewandt wirkt. Die Band zeigt sich spielfreudig, technisch versiert und überraschend vielseitig. Zwischen kompromissloser Härte und atmosphärischen Momenten entsteht ein Spannungsfeld, das das Album lebendig und eigenständig macht.

Nachdem sie zu Beginn des Jahres einen Deal mit Fireflash-Records gemacht haben, gab es bereits die Single „As The Flames Rise“ auf die Ohren. In der Zwischenzeit hatte ich das Vergnügen die Band live beim Thrash Speed Burn Fest im April genießen zu dürfen. Dort haben sie einen super Auftritt hingelegt und damit das Publikum begeistert. Die Band zeigte sich spielfreudig, technisch versiert und überraschend vielseitig und bietet einen Mix aus kompromissloser Härte und atmosphärischen Momenten. (Konzertbericht)

Nun gibt es einen weiteren Nachschlag mit der Single „In The Laybyrinth Of Eternal Suffering“. Sie stammt wie „As The Flames Rise“ aus der Schaffensphase zum letzten Album. Der Song schaffte es zwar nicht auf das letzte Album, aber nachdem man sich 𝐌𝐄𝐙𝐙𝐑𝐎𝐖 den Song noch mal zur Brust genommen und daran gearbeitet haben, wird er nun doch noch als Single veröffentlicht.

𝐌𝐄𝐙𝐙𝐑𝐎𝐖 scheinen fest entschlossen ihre Fanschar zu vergrößern. Und das sollte mit so einem starken Sound doch locker gelingen. Die Single „In The Laybyrinth Of Eternal Suffering“ reiht sich jedenfalls in die Liste gnadenlos guter Songs ein und bestätigt die hervorragende Qualität der Band.

𝐌𝐄𝐙𝐙𝐑𝐎𝐖 seem firmly determined to expand their fanbase. And with such a powerful sound, they should surely succeed with ease. In any case, the single „In The Labyrinth Of Eternal Suffering“ joins the ranks of ruthlessly good songs and confirms the band’s outstanding quality.
