Neues Album „Behind Us All“ kommt Ende März

Aus Finnland kommen großartige Doom Metal Bands, wie z.B. MARIANAS REST oder KAUNIS KUOLEMATON. Beide haben jüngst neue Alben veröffentlicht. Und nun gesellen sich 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐍 aus Finnland zu dieser illustren Runde. Und was haben alle Bands noch gemeinsam? Nun, sie sind alle beim Label Noble Demon zu Hause.

Die Bands interpretieren den Doom Metal alles auf verschiedene Weise. Sie zeigen eindrucksvoll, dass man im gleichen Genre ganz unterschiedlich klingen kann. So erschafft jede Band für sich einen eigenen Klangkosmos. So auch 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐍, die mit ihrer aktuellen Single „To Burn Inside“ das kommende Album 𝘽𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙐𝙨 𝘼𝙡𝙡 ankündigen, welches am 27.03.2026 erscheinen wird. Mastermind der Band ist Timo Solonen, verantwortlich für das Songwriting und die Gitarren. Außerdem übernimmt er beim Gesang die Growls.

„To Burn Inside“ klingt nicht aufdringlich, aber eindringlich!

Der Song greift nicht an, sondern nimmt den Hörer emotional mit. Sänger Lars Eikind, der sonst bei der Band BEFORE THE DAWN agiert, ist für die cleanen Vocals zuständig und brilliert mit einer fabelhaften Vorstellung, die berührend ist. Ein Strom schöner Melodien, die durch Herz und Seele fließen und dessen Wirkung lange nachhallt. So habe ich den Song etliche Male in Dauerschleife gehört und mich von der Aura durchfluten lassen.

Eine Besonderheit ist das ausgiebige Gitarrensolo von Pekka Olkkonen in diesem Song, welches schon eine Kunst für sich ist und noch einmal für sehr eindringliche Momente in diesem wunderschönen Song sorgt.

Wir freuen uns sehr, dass Pekka Olkkonen auf unserer ersten Single zu hören ist und das Solo spielt. Der Song handelt von Entscheidungen, die wir früher im Leben getroffen haben, um Träume zu verfolgen, die sich letztendlich nicht gelohnt haben. Wenn man älter wird, findet man heraus, was im Leben wirklich wichtig ist, und es ist nicht immer einfach, das alte Leben hinter sich zu lassen. Aber man kann es schaffen, wie am Ende des Songs deutlich wird.

Neues Album „Behind Us All“ kommt Ende März

Finland has long been a cradle for outstanding doom metal, with bands like Marianas Rest and 𝐊𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐒 𝐊𝐔𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐍 recently unveiling powerful new albums. Now, 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐍 step into this distinguished circle, carrying that same Nordic weight of emotion and melodic gloom. And what ties all these bands together? They all call the ever‑growing home of Noble Demon their label.

Each of these bands shapes doom metal in its own distinct way, proving just how many shades can exist within the same genre. Every project builds its own sonic universe, and Grain of Pain are no exception. With their new single “To Burn Inside”, they open the first chapter of their upcoming album 𝘽𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙐𝙨 𝘼𝙡𝙡, set for release on March 27th, 2026.

At the heart of the band stands Timo Solonen — the creative mastermind responsible for the songwriting and guitars, as well as the deep, resonant growls that anchor Grain of Pain’s sound.

“To Burn Inside” whispers rather than strikes, yet its quiet fire sinks deep beneath the skin. Lars Eikind, known from Before the Dawn, takes over the clean vocals and delivers a stunning, deeply moving performance. What follows is a stream of beautiful melodies flowing straight through heart and soul, leaving an echo that lingers long after the final chord. I found myself playing the track on repeat, letting it wash over me again and again.

So many stones, so many hopes. We are very happy to have Pekka Olkkonen to feature on our first single and to play solo on our song. Song is about life choices we made to earlier in life to chase dreams which weren’t worth it in the end. When you grow older you will find what is most important in life and the struggle to leave old life behind is not always easy. But you can do it as it becomes clear in the end of the song.
