𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 sind eine Progressive-Metalcore-Band aus Seattle (USA). Sie kanalisieren die rohen, unverfälschten Emotionen, die das Menschsein ausmachen. Herzschmerz, Verlust, Sucht, Trauma…kein Thema ist tabu. Mit erhebenden, hymnischen Synthesizern, die sich über komplexe Progressive-Metalcore-Riffs legen, erschaffen 𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 Klanglandschaften, die ebenso emotional berührend wie klanglich kraftvoll sind.

Ihre Botschaft ist klar: Selbst in den dunkelsten Momenten des Lebens gibt es einen Silberstreif am Horizont und ein Leben, das sich immer noch lohnt. Die Band hat gerade ihre neue Single „False Ideals“ samt okkultem Musikvideo veröffentlicht. Die Dreharbeiten fanden im Northern State Hospital in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, statt. „False Ideals“ ist die zweite Single und das zweite Musikvideo aus ihrem kommenden Album 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙨 𝙄𝙣 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙮, das am 6. März 2026 über Eclipse Records erscheint.

Über die Single „False Ideals“ sagt Gitarrist Taylor Harper. folgendes:

Die Inspiration für den Songtitel beeinflusste den kreativen Prozess und die erzählerischen Entscheidungen. Da unser Gitarrist Viktor privat mit Schwierigkeiten zu kämpfen hatte, begann er, einige seiner tief verwurzelten Überzeugungen zu hinterfragen. Die Inspiration für das Ritual selbst und den gesamten visuellen Stil stammt aus der Geschichte und den Berichten heidnischer Rituale sowie aus aktuellen okkulten Bewegungen. Die Emotionen des Songs werden erzählerisch vermittelt, durch die Geschichte einer Person, die metaphorisch einen Blick darauf wirft, wie ihr Leben verlaufen wäre, wenn sie ihren ursprünglichen Weg weiterverfolgt hätte.

Vor vier Wochen gab es bereits die Single „Searching For An Answer“ und diese ist ebenfalls gut geraten. Mit solchen ausgereiften hochwertigen Songs braucht man sich auch vor den Größen der modernen Metalcore-Szene nicht verstecken und es ist durchaus das Potential vorhanden sich in der hart umkämpften Metalcore-Szene zu etablieren.

Das Album 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙨 𝙄𝙣 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙮 ist zwar fertig und steht kurz vor der Veröffentlichung, aber leider benötigen 𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 einen neuen Sänger, damit sie die neuen Songs auch live präsentieren können. Dies dürfte sich als schwierig erweisen, denn der Sänger müsste schon richtig was können, um fließend zwischen verschiedenen Gesangsarten hin- und herzuswitchen. Ich wünsche der Band viel Glück bei der Suche nach einem neuen talentierten Sänger.

𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 are a progressive metalcore band from Seattle (USA). They channel the raw, unfiltered emotions that define the human experience. Heartbreak, loss, addiction, trauma—no subject is off limits. With uplifting, anthemic synthesizers layered over intricate progressive‑metalcore riffs, OATHBOUND create sonic landscapes that are as emotionally resonant as they are sonically powerful.

Their message is unmistakable: even in the darkest moments of life, there is a silver lining on the horizon and a life still worth living. 𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 has just released their new single “False Ideals” along with an occult‑themed music video. Filming took place at the Northern State Hospital in Sedro‑Woolley, Washington. “False Ideals” is the second single and the second music video from their upcoming album 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙨 𝙄𝙣 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙮, which will be released on March 6, 2026 via Eclipse Records.

Guitarist Taylor Harper comments on the song „False Ideals“:

The inspiration behind the song title led to the creative process and narrative decisions made” says guitarist Taylor Harper. “As our guitarist Viktor was going through struggles in his personal life, he began to re-evaluate certain postulates he held dearly to be the absolute truth. The inspiration for the ritual itself and the overall visual style was inspired by the history and accounts of pagan rituals, as well as the current occult movements. The song’s emotions are translated narratively, through the story of a person metaphorically taking a glimpse at what their life would have been, had they stayed on their original track.

Four weeks ago, the band had already released the single “Searching For An Answer“, and that track turned out exceptionally well, too. With songs this refined and high‑quality, they have no reason to hide from the heavyweights of the modern metalcore scene. There is genuine potential here for the band to establish themselves in this fiercely competitive genre.

The album 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙨 𝙄𝙣 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙮 is finished and nearing its release, but unfortunately 𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 now need a new vocalist to bring the new songs to the stage. This won’t be an easy task, as the singer will have to be truly skilled to switch seamlessly between different vocal styles. I wish the band the best of luck in finding a new, talented frontman
