Bei der deutschen Band 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐋 gibt es einige Neuigkeiten. Gitarrist Jack The Riffer schart neue Musiker um sich, womit er wohl auch dem Sound neue Impulse setzen will.

Da wäre Gitarrenhexer und Songwriter Thilo Herrmann, der 1985 auf dem FAITHFUL BREATH Klassiker „Skol“ seinen Einstand gab und im Laufe seiner Karriere mit RISK (u.a. „Ratman“), RUNNING WILD (u.a. „Black Hand Inn“, „Masquerade“) und GRAVE DIGGER (u.a. „Ballads Of A Hangman“) Heavy Metal-Geschichte schrieb.

Am Mikro wird sich der schwedische Sänger Mike Stark austoben. der aktuell auch bei den Argentiniern von FEANOR und bei der schwedischen Formation STORMBURNER singt. Hört euch die Songs dieser Bands an und ihre werdet feststellen, dass 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐋 mit Mike Stark eine Stimme gefunden haben, die den Kern des teutonischen Heavy Metal mit neuer Schärfe auflädt. Er verleiht dem Sound eine unmittelbare, ungekünstelte Energie. Mike phrasiert mit einer Mischung aus Attacke und melodischer Kontrolle und verinnerlicht die DNA der Achtziger perfekt.

Die Band hat nun beim deutschen Label FIREFLASH RECORDS ihr Zuhause gefunden. Und Inhaber Markus Wosgien ist voller Vorfreude. Er äußert sich folgendermaßen zu dem Deal:

Ich hatte schon immer ein Faible für teutonischen Heavy Metal, der für mich greifbarer und präsenter war. GENERATION STEEL stehen für mich anno 2026 für dieselben Werte und den Sound, den Künstler wie ACCEPT, GRAVE DIGGER, RUNNING WILD oder RAGE in den 80ern etabliert haben. Die neuen Songs sind bereits in ihrer Rohform pures Dynamit und Stahl in seiner reinsten Form!

Außerdem konnte man mit die renommierte Booking Agentur WE-LIVE für sich gewinnen, in deren Roster u.a. OVERKILL, SACRED REICH, SODOM und ihre Nachbarn von BLIZZEN stehen.

Bald soll es auch musikalisch den ersten Vorgeschmack mit dem neuen Line-Up geben. Aktuell begeben sich 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐋 gemeinsam mit Produzent Piet Sielck (IRON SAVIOR) auf die Zielgerade der Produktion in dessen Studio. Sielck hat bereits in der Vergangenheit Klassiker von GAMMA RAY, GRAVE DIGGER, HEADHUNTER, STORMWARRIOR bis hin zu BLIND GUARDIAN und SAXON veredelt.

There are some developments within the German band 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐋. Guitarist Jack The Riffer is gathering new musicians around him, a move that seems intended to give the band’s sound fresh momentum.

There’s guitarist and songwriter Thilo Herrmann, who made his debut in 1985 on the FAITHFUL BREATH classic Skol and went on to write heavy metal history with RISK (including Ratman), RUNNING WILD (including Black Hand Inn, Masquerade) and GRAVE DIGGER (including Ballads of a Hangman).

At the microphone, Swedish vocalist Mike Stark will be unleashing his full power. He is currently also fronting the Argentinian band FEANOR and the Swedish outfit STORMBURNER. Listen to their songs and you’ll quickly notice that 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐋 have found in Mike Stark a voice that recharges the core of teutonic heavy metal with renewed sharpness. He injects the sound with an immediate, unpolished energy. Mike phrases with a blend of attack and melodic control, embodying the DNA of the eighties with remarkable precision.

The band has now found its new home with the German label FIREFLASH RECORDS. And label CEO Markus Wosgien is full of anticipation. He comments on the deal as follows:

I’ve always had a soft spot for Teutonic heavy metal, which was more tangible and present for me. For me, GENERATION STEEL in 2026 stand for the same values and sound that artists like ACCEPT, GRAVE DIGGER, RUNNING WILD, and RAGE established in the 80s. Even in their raw form, the new songs are pure dynamite and steel in its purest form!

The band has also secured the support of the renowned booking agency WE‑LIVE, whose roster includes acts such as OVERKILL, SACRED REICH, SODOM and their local neighbours BLIZZEN.

A first musical taste of the new line-up is expected soon. 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐋 are currently heading into the final stretch of the production together with producer Piet Sielck (IRON SAVIOR) at his studio. Sielck has previously refined classics by GAMMA RAY, GRAVE DIGGER, HEADHUNTER, STORMWARRIOR, as well as BLIND GUARDIAN and SAXON.
