𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐎𝐑 kündigen für den 27.03.2026 ihr neues Album „Awesome Anthems Of The Galaxy“ via PERCEPTION an. Das Album wird Metal-Cover-Versionen bekannter 80’er Jahre Hits bieten. Die 80’er Jahre waren ein großartiges Jahrzehnt und die Musik aus der Zeit ist immer noch angesagt.

Das ist auch der Band, die seit drei Jahrzehnten im Geschäft ist, schon vor längerer Zeit bewusst geworden, nachdem sie damals das erste Cover damals als Bonus-Track veröffentlicht hatten. Sänger Piet Sielck erinnert sich:

Nach dem riesigen Erfolg des 2002 erschienenen Bonustracks „Crazy“ (Seal) von 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙙, der sogar in einer HBO-Fernsehserie verwendet wurde, wurden wir von Fans und Medien fast ununterbrochen gebeten, ein Album mit ausschließlich Coverversionen aufzunehmen. Und nun, zwei Jahrzehnte später, ist es soweit! „Awesome Anthems“ setzt die Transformation vom Pop zum Metal im typischen Iron-Savior-Stil fort, die mit Seals „Crazy“ und Eurythmics‘ „Sweet Dreams“ begann. Wir sind absolut stolz auf das Ergebnis, das den ursprünglichen Vibe der Songs nie verliert und dennoch zu 100 % Iron Savior ist. Hört einfach selbst rein … ich garantiere euch viele Lacher dabei!

𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐎𝐑 und haben mit „Forever Young“ (𝐀𝐋𝐏𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄 1984) und „Fame“ (𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐀 1980) bereits zwei Singles veröffentlicht. Von denen gibt es Videos. Die dritte Single „Relax“ (𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐈𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐘𝐖𝐎𝐎𝐃 1984) gibt es auch, aber bisher ohne Video.

Ich persönlich finde die Umsetzung von IRON SAVIOR bei den bisherigen Singles sehr gelungen. Sie erhalten den Charme des Originals und würzen es mit einer guten Portion Metal-Schärfe. Das peppt die Songs gehörig auf und verschafft ihnen eine frische zeitgemäße Note. Also ich freue mich sehr auf das Album und bin mir sicher, dass das viele andere auch tun werden.

„Awesome Anthems“ wird sicherlich ein Erfolg werden. Weiter unten seht ihr die Tracklist und das Albumcover. Ihr seht, dass das Album randvoll mit 17 Songs gepackt ist. 𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐎𝐑 have announced their new album, „Awesome Anthems Of The Galaxy,“ for release on March 27, 2026, via PERCEPTION. The album will feature metal cover versions of well-known 80s hits. The 80s were a great decade, and the music from that era is still popular today.

The band, which has been in the business for three decades, became aware of this some time ago, after releasing their first cover as a bonus track. Singer Piet Sielck recalls:

After the huge success of the 2002 Condition Red bonus track “Crazy” (Seal), which was actually used in a HBO TV show, we have been asked by fans and medias almost constantly to do a complete cover tracks album. So… two decades later here we are! “AWESOME ANTHEMS“ continues the transformation from pop-to-metal in Iron Savior style as started with Seal’’s “Crazy” and Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams‘. We are absolutely proud of the outcome, which never looses the original vibe of the tracks but yet is 100% Iron Savior. Just listen yourself.. I guarantee a lot of smiles while doing so!

Personally, I think IRON SAVIOR’s interpretations of the songs in the singles released so far are very successful. They retain the charm of the original and spice it up with a good dose of metal edge. This really livens up the songs and gives them a fresh, contemporary feel. So I’m really looking forward to the album, and I’m sure many others will be too.
