Die norwegische Progressive-Metal-Band COURSE OF FATE hat ihre brandneue Single „Acolyte“ veröffentlicht. Sie bietet einen packenden Vorgeschmack auf ihr kommendes Studioalbum Behind The Eclipse, das am 30. Januar 2026 über ‚ROAR – A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music‘ erscheinen wird.

Die Band sagt über die Single „Acolyte“ folgendes:

Gedankenkontrolle, Gemeinschaften und Zugehörigkeit. Ist man einmal dabei, ist es fast unmöglich, wieder auszusteigen. Aber die Kraft des Feuers und der Flammen hat die Fähigkeit, alles zu Asche zu verwandeln. Nachdem sich der Staub gelegt hat, wird ein neuer Tag anbrechen. Und durch die Augen eines neuen Anführers … Werden wir die Utopie finden? Dieser Song entführt euch zurück in ein Universum, das wir bereits 2020 vorgestellt haben. Manchmal braucht es nur einen kleinen Funken, um die Flamme zu entzünden.

Persönlicher Eindruck: „Acolyte“ hat viel zu bieten. Es ist ein hochatmosphärischer Song mit viel wunderschöner melodischer Melancholie, aber auch die kraftvolle Seite kommt hervorragend zum Ausdruck. Dabei wird es gar nicht kompliziert, vielmehr ist der Song sogar recht eingängig.

Das Album Behind The Eclipse wird euch eine vielfältige Sammlung von Songs präsentieren, in denen sich Licht und Dunkelheit sowohl musikalisch als auch textlich miteinander verflechten. Obwohl es sich nicht um ein Konzeptalbum handelt, sind alle Titel durch dieses Thema miteinander verbunden und zeigen die für die Band charakteristische Mischung aus melodischer Tiefe, progressiver Raffinesse und emotionaler Kraft!

Norwegian progressive metal band COURSE OF FATE has released their brand new single „Acolyte.“ It offers a thrilling preview of their upcoming studio album Behind The Eclipse, which will be released on January 30, 2026, via ‚ROAR – A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music‘.

The band says the following about the single „Acolyte“:

Mindcontrol, congregations and affiliation. Once you are in, it’s almost impossible to get out. But the power of fire and flames have the ability to turn everything to ashes. After the dust has settled a new day will rise. And through the eyes of a new leader… Will we find utopia? This song takes you back to a universe we introduced back in 2020. Sometimes all it takes is a small spark to light the flame.

Personal impression: „Acolyte“ has a lot to offer. It is a highly atmospheric song with a lot of beautiful melodic melancholy, but its powerful side also comes across excellently. It is not complicated at all; in fact, the song is quite catchy.

The album Behind The Eclipse will present you with a diverse collection of songs in which light and darkness intertwine both musically and lyrically. Although it is not a concept album, all tracks are connected by this theme and showcase the band’s characteristic blend of melodic depth, progressive sophistication, and emotional power!
