𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐖 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐖 werden euch mit 𝙂𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙜𝙤𝙬 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙣 aus den Latschen hauen. Das kann ich euch versprechen! 𝙂𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙜𝙤𝙬 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙣 hat nichts mehr mit dem Debüt 𝘽𝙚𝙩 𝙄𝙩 𝘼𝙡𝙡 aus dem Jahr 2011 zu tun. Damals klang es noch nach amerikanischen Heavy Rock. Das hatte schon einen guten Bumms. Im Laufe der Zeit wurde man auf jeden Fall härter und wuchtiger. Die rockige Ader kam aber immer wieder hervor, wie sogar noch auf dem letzten Album 𝙍𝙞𝙨𝙚 𝙊𝙛 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙙𝙤𝙜𝙨 (2024) beim Song „Bleed“. Man setzte dort immer noch durchgängig auf den Kontrast der harten Strophen und melodischen Refrains. Diese Zeiten sind vorbei!

Jetzt geht es ans Eingemachte! 𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁.𝐂. klingen aggressiver, wütender und brutaler als jemals zuvor. Was für eine erschütternde Explosion, die sich hier direkt im Opener „Glasgow Grin“ entlädt. Donnernde Drums, die ein Erdbeben auslösen, fetten Riffs, Hammerbass und dann die infernalisch brutalen Vocals von Vagelis sind eine Naturgewalt, die keinen Widerstand zulässt. Dazu kommt ein kraftstrotzender Chorus, der dir um die Ohren geballert wird. Das sind krasse Schläge in die Magengrube. Melodischer Chorus ist hier Fehlanzeige.

Leider gibt es davon kein Video, aber dafür vom zweiten Song „No Gods, No Chains“, der die Energie weiter in sich aufnimmt und genauso hammermäßig auf den Putz haut. Hier ist einfach alles großartig! Eine rohe Energie, die hier losgelassen wird, die ich so in der Form noch nie so extrem bei 𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁.𝐂. gehört habe. Der absolute Abriss! Da bleiben keine Fragen mehr offen!

Und dann legt „The Tear“ noch einen Zahn zu! Hier fegt die pure Zerstörung über euch hinweg. Das Intro des Songs ist noch recht verhalten. Nur die bedrohlichen Riffs in der melancholischen Aura wirken wie eine böse Vorahnung. Und dann explodiert der Song in einem brutalen Inferno, was live sofort einen rasenden Moshpit entzünden würde. Das zerfetzende Tempo wird auch zurückgenommen, was der Durchschlagskraft des Songs aber keinerlei Abbruch beschert.

Erst auf der Hälfte kommt mit „Free Fall“ ein etwas ruhigerer Track, wenn man das überhaupt so formulieren kann. Zumindest fängt er verhalten an, eigentlich ähnlich wie „The Tear“, jedoch entladen sich hier keine tempogeladenen Parts, sondern ein fetter aggressiver Groove mit teils melodischen, teils schweren Riffs, wobei inmitten des massiven Auftritts sphärische Momente inkludiert werden, die für ein wenig Erholung sorgen.

Das Stilmittel der melodischen Vocals haben 𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁.𝐂. aber nicht ganz abgelegt und so bauen sie das schon mal mitunter ein, wie z.B. bei „Rain“. Sanft klingen solche Passagen trotzdem nicht, sondern werden kraftvoll geschmettert. In diesem Song bekommt man sogar ein echt schönes Gitarrensolo in ruhiger Atmosphäre zu hören. 𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁.𝐂. lockern also an wenigen Stellen das brutale Konstrukt ein wenig auf, was ich begrüße, um mehr Varianz und Tiefe in den Stimmungen zu erzeugen. „Distant Star“ gehört zu ebenfalls zu den atmosphärischen Songs auf dem Album, wo man ebenfalls ein spitzenmäßiges Solo genießen darf. Herrlich!

Fazit

𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁.𝐂. lassen ihre Muskeln spielen und klingen auf 𝙂𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙜𝙤𝙬 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙣 so kraftvoll und aggressiv wie nie zuvor. Alle Songs sind musikalische Großkaliber mit unglaublicher Durchschlagskraft. 𝙂𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙜𝙤𝙬 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙣 klingt wie eine Art Befreiungsschlag, mit dem sie sich von allen Fesseln befreien und sich völlig enthemmt ihrer musikalischen Vision hingeben und diese ausleben. Ich finde keinerlei Schwachstellen auf dem Album und darüber hinaus hat es mich total weggeblasen, was mir volle 10 Punkte entlockt.

𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐖 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐖 will blow you away with 𝙂𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙜𝙤𝙬 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙣. I can promise you that! 𝙂𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙜𝙤𝙬 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙣 has nothing in common with their 2011 debut 𝘽𝙚𝙩 𝙄𝙩 𝘼𝙡𝙡. Back then, it sounded like American heavy rock. Okay, it packed a real punch, but now they sound harder and more agressive like never before. On their last album 𝙍𝙞𝙨𝙚 𝙊𝙛 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙙𝙤𝙜𝙨 (2024) the rock was still a part of the sound, e.g. with the song „Bleed.“ They still consistently relied on the contrast between harsh verses and melodic choruses. Those days are over!

Now things are getting serious! What a devastating explosion, unleashed right in the opener „Glasgow Grin.“ Thunderous drums that trigger an earthquake, fat riffs, a killer bass, and then Vagelis’s infernally brutal vocals combine to create a force of nature that brooks no resistance. Add to that a powerful chorus that hits you like a ton of bricks. These are gut-punching punches. A melodic chorus is nowhere to be found.

Unfortunately, there’s no video for that one, but there is for the second song, „No Gods, No Chains,“ which continues the energy and is just as incredibly powerful. Everything about this is simply amazing! The raw energy unleashed here is unlike anything I’ve ever heard from 𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁.𝐂. It’s absolutely stunning! No questions asked!

And then „The Tear“ kicks things up a notch! Pure destruction sweeps over you. The song’s intro is still quite restrained. Only the menacing riffs in the melancholic atmosphere act as a bad premonition. And then the song explodes in a brutal inferno, which would instantly ignite a furious mosh pit at a live gig. The shattering tempo is also slowed down in between, but this doesn’t diminish the song’s impact in the slightest.

Only halfway through the album does a somewhat calmer track appear, „Free Fall“, although the word „calm“ is probably the wrong term. At least it starts off restrained, actually similar to „The Tear,“ but instead of high-speed sections, it unleashes a fat, aggressive groove with riffs that are sometimes melodic, sometimes heavy. Amidst this massive onslaught, atmospheric moments are included, providing a bit of respite.

𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁.𝐂. haven’t completely abandoned the stylistic device of melodic vocals, and they still incorporate them occasionally, as in „Rain.“ These passages don’t sound gentle, however, but are delivered with powerful force. This song even features a truly beautiful guitar solo set in a more tranquil atmosphere. 𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁.𝐂. thus lighten the brutal structure a bit in a few places, which I welcome, as it creates more variation and depth in the moods. „Distant Star“ is another of the album’s atmospheric tracks, where you can also enjoy a superb solo. Wonderful!

Conclusion

𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐁.𝐂. flex all their muscles and sound more powerful and aggressive than ever before on 𝙂𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙜𝙤𝙬 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙣. All songs are musical heavyweights with incredible impact. 𝙂𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙜𝙤𝙬 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙣 sounds like a heavy punch of liberation, breaking free from all constraints and surrendering completely to their musical vision. I can’t find any weaknesses on the album, and furthermore, it totally blew me away, so I give full 10 points.
