Das 𝐗𝐈𝐎𝐍-Quintett wurde 2022 gegründet, als einige der Mitglieder noch unter 18 waren. Aber jeder wird zustimmen, dass die Band schon auf einem beachtlichen musikalisches Niveau spielen. Auch live scheint die junge Band ne fantastische Show abzuliefern. Das Sweden Rock Magazine bewertete einen ihrer Live-Auftritte mit 9/10 Punkten, und ihr Auftritt beim „Sweden Rock Festival“ selbst erhielt eine Bewertung von 4/5. Im Jahr 2023 gewann die Band zudem den Musikwettbewerb „Imagine Sweden“.

Ihr könnt euch gleich von der Spitzenqualität der Band überzeugen und euch die Single „Zero Light“ reinziehen. Die fetzige Speed-Rakete ist mit hochexplosivem Old School-Kerosin unterwegs und schlägt heftig ein. Eine megastarke Perfoirmance, die Bock auf mehr macht.

Der Abschluss von 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙚 ist genauso rasant wie der Beginn. Denn der Opener „Hands Will Be Cut“ ist ebenfalls eine schnelle Nummer, die nicht lange bittet, sondern direkt angreift und klare Verhältnisse schafft. Ungewöhnlich ist hier und bei manch anderen Songs die recht lange Spielzeit, die die Recken aber sehr gut füllen. So lassen sie den temporeichen Song „Hand Will Be Cut“ im Verlauf noch mehr eskalieren lassen, vor allem bei dem wilden Gitarrensolo. Ein Song ohne Fehl und Tadel, der einen perfekten Einstieg in das Album bereitet.

Den Schwung des tempogeladenen Starts nimmt man auch in den zweiten Song „Burned Onto You“ mit, der ebenfalls mit viel melodischer Power ausgestattet ist. In diesem Sinne setzt sich die geschwindige Reise weiter fort, bis dann doch mit „Granted Wings“ ruhigere Töne Einzug erhalten. Wer hätte das gedacht?

Ich jedenfalls nicht, aber es bringt ne andere Komponente ins Spiel, was ich grundsätzlich immer begrüße, wenn es dann nicht zu ruhig wird und mich langweilt. „Granted Wings“ lässt sich ein wenig Zeit und schippert erst im ruhigen Fahrwasser herum, aber dann auf der Hälfte kommt die Ballade glücklicherweise einen Energieschub und es kommt Fahrt auf. Dies macht Reise dann doch insgesamt aufregender und in der letzten Minute dreht man sogar noch einmal mehr auf.

Mit „Dead By The Night“ gelangen 𝐗𝐈𝐎𝐍 wieder vom Rastplatz auf den Highway und treten kräftig auf das Gaspedal.

Der Text ist vom Film ‚Léon‘ aus dem Jahr 1994 inspiriert und wird sowohl aus der Perspektive von Léon als auch von Mathilda erzählt. Da der Text jedoch nicht vollständig auf dem Film basiert, gibt es nur wenige direkte Bezüge dazu. Es gibt lediglich subtile Anspielungen, wie zum Beispiel Laservisiere. Die Angst vor dem Verlassenwerden ist ein wiederkehrendes Thema im gesamten Text, was den Song zu einem unserer düstereren Stücke macht. (Quelle: United Forces Pr)

Fazit

Die junge Band 𝐗𝐈𝐎𝐍 tritt auf ihrem Album 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙚 souverän und selbstbewusst auf. Die Jungs setzen auf einen old school Sound, den sie aber schön frisch rocken. Es gibt keinen Durchhänger auf dem Album und so zeigen die Jungs eindrucksvoll, aus welchem Holz sie geschnitzt sind. 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙚 ist ein großartiger Anfangspunkt der musikalischen Reise für 𝐗𝐈𝐎𝐍 und verspricht für die Zukunft, dass wir noch viel von 𝐗𝐈𝐎𝐍 erwarten dürfen.

The 𝐗𝐈𝐎𝐍 quintet kicked off in 2022, when some of the guys were still under 18. But honestly, everyone will agree that they’re already playing on a seriously impressive level. And live? The young band seems to throw down one hell of a show. Sweden Rock Magazine gave one of their gigs a massive 9/10, and their performance at the actual Sweden Rock Festival scored a strong 4/5. In 2023, they even took home the win at the “Imagine Sweden” music competition.

You can check out their top-tier quality right away and blast their single “Zero Light”. This punchy speed rocket runs on high‑octane old‑school fuel and hits hard. A mega-strong performance that totally fires you up for more.

The finale of 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙚 hits just as hard as the opening.The opener „Hands Will Be Cut“ is another fast-paced scorcher that doesn’t just knock quietly. It goes straight for the throat and sets the tone right away. What’s unusual here, and in a few other tracks, is the pretty long runtime, but the guys make great use of every second. As the song pushes on, “Hands Will Be Cut” cranks things up even further, especially when that wild guitar solo kicks in. A flawless track and a killer way to kick off the album.

The momentum from that high‑speed start carries straight into the second track, “Burned Onto You”, which also comes packed with plenty of melodic firepower. The rapid ride keeps going in this spirit, until “Granted Wings” suddenly brings in some calmer vibes. Who would’ve expected that?

I sure didn’t, but it adds a fresh component to the mix. That’s something I always appreciate, as long as it doesn’t drift too far into sleepy territory. “Granted Wings” takes its time, cruising through calmer waters at first, but halfway through the ballad gets a welcome energy boost and starts picking up speed. That makes the journey a lot more exciting, and in the final minute they even kick it up another notch.

With „Dead By The Night“ 𝐗𝐈𝐎𝐍 leave their mellower excursion behind, return to the highway, and slam their foot on the gas.

The band comments:

The lyrics are inspired by the 1994 film Léon, told from both Léon’s and Mathilda’s perspective. But since the text doesn’t fully stick to the movie, there are only a few direct references. Most of it comes through in subtle hints — like laser sights, for example. The fear of being abandoned runs like a thread through the whole story, making this track one of our darker pieces.
