𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 sind wieder auferstanden. In den 90’er Jahren wurde die Band von Sabina Classen und Gitarrist Schrödey in Hamburg gegründet. 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 waren damals bekannt für ihren besonderen Sound, der sich schwerlich genau definieren lies. Ihr Sound war grob beschrieben roh, düster und bedrohlich, was vor allem auch an den extrem finsteren Vocals von Sabine Classen gelegen hat. Hört euch hier die Single „Darker Than Hate“ aus dem Jahr 1995 an, um euch eine Vorstellung zu geben und einen Vergleich zur aktuellen Single „Prayer“ zu ziehen, ganze 31 Jahre später.

Das Schicksal führte aber dazu, dass die Band nach einem Unfall von Sabine Classen plötzlich im Jahre 2000 von der Bildfläche verschwand, ganz still ohne Abschied. Es gab also nie ein offizielles Ende der Band und so schlief die Band einen Schneewittchen-Schlaf. Und es war ein Kuss der Schicksals, der die Band letztlich wieder aus ihrem Schlaf erwachen lies. Denn es passierte folgendes…

Es begab sich während einer Lesung von Sabina Classen und Dr. Nico Rose zu ihrem gemeinsamen Buch „Laut.Stark.Leben – Zur Hölle mit den Selbstzweifeln“ auf den Full Metal Holidays 2025 auf Mallorca. Wacken-Mitgründer Holger Hübner stürmte spontan die Veranstaltung und verkündete vor den überraschten Gästen, dass Sabina zurück auf die Bühne müsse. Seine Begründung war ebenso direkt wie überzeugend: Das Kapitel 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 sei niemals wirklich abgeschlossen worden.

Sängerin Sabine erklärt:

Manche Dinge schlafen nur und warten auf den richtigen Moment, um wieder aufzuwachen. Die Songs, die Freundschaft, die Energie – alles fühlt sich erstaunlich vertraut an.

Gitarrist und Bandgründer Schrödey kommentiert zum neuen Song:

„Prayer“ ist ein Requiem für alle Seelen, die wir verloren haben: Freunde, Weggefährten, Partner und unsere geliebten Tiere. Der Song entstand in einer dunklen Nacht nach dem Tod eines alten Freundes.

Und wie klingen 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 2026?

𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 haben immer noch den gleichen Charme wie damals in den 90’er Jahren. Natürlich klingt die Produktion im Zuge der technischen Entwicklung sauberer und druckvoller, aber stilistisch scheinen die Jahrzehnte spurlos am Sound vorbeigegangen zu sein. Nach wie vor steht die finstere bedrohliche Atmosphäre im Vordergrund und trotz moderner Produktion hat man dem Sound eine Natürlichkeit verpasst, der die rohe Ausstrahlung bewahrt. „Prayer“ führt den Hörer in Abgründe, in die Katakomben des Wahnsinns im Zeichen von Verlustes und Trauer.

Im übrigen haben sich FIREFLASH RECORDS entschieden, 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 unter Vertrag zu nehmen. Damit unterstreicht das Label seine Vielseitigkeit und verstärkt sein Roster mit einer weiteren ungewöhnlichen Band. Fireflash Records geben wirklich Vollgas! Da wird noch einiges auf uns in den nächsten Monaten zukommen.

UPDATE 24.07.’26: Neue Single „A Resurrection Story„

𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 legen nach! Die neue Single „A Resurrection Story“ schenkt uns einen weiteren Ausblick auf das kommende Album, von dem es allerdings bisher noch keine weiteren Infos gibt. Sobald neue Details vorliegen, werdet ihr hier natürlich davon erfahren. Also blicken wir erst einmal auf den neuen Song „A Resurrection Story„. Der Titel erschien erstmals 1999 auf dem Album „Mother Creator God„. Da dieses Album jedoch nie digital veröffentlicht wurde, ist „A Resurrection Story“ für viele Hörerinnen und Hörer bis heute nahezu unbekannt geblieben. Mehr als 25 Jahre später hat 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 den Song vollständig neu aufgenommen und eröffnet damit einer neuen Generation den Zugang zu diesem besonderen Stück Bandgeschichte.

„A Resurrection Story“ macht mehr Druck mit seinem stampfenden Groove und versprüht damit eine andere Stimmung als das schleppende hämmernde finstere „Prayer“. Die Atmosphäre klingt dennoch unverkennbar nach 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃. Es ist nicht ganz so doomig unheimlich, sondern eher ein dunkler Rock n Roll Brecher, der aufrüttelt.

𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 haben den Song bewusst in die Gegenwart geholt. Seine Themen – innere Wandlung, Wiederherstellung und das Wiederfinden der eigenen Stimme – wirken heute beinahe zeitlos und treffen den Nerv unserer Zeit. Während „Prayer“ von Erinnerung, Verlust und Verbundenheit erzählt, führt „A Resurrection Story“ diesen Weg konsequent weiter. Er trägt eine Botschaft von Resilienz, Heilung und dem Mut, verloren geglaubte Teile der eigenen Persönlichkeit wiederzuentdecken.

𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 have risen again. Back in the 90s, the band was founded in Hamburg by Sabina Classen and guitarist Schrödey. 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 were known for their distinctive sound, one that was almost impossible to pin down precisely. In broad terms, their music was raw, dark and menacing – largely due to Sabina Classen’s extremely grim and haunting vocals. Listen to the 1995 single “Darker Than Hate” to get an impression and to draw a comparison to the new track “Prayer”, released 31 years later.

But fate had other plans, and after an accident involving Sabina Classen, the band suddenly vanished from the scene in the year 2000: quietly, without any farewell. There was never an official end, and so the band fell into a kind of Snow White slumber. And it took a kiss of fate to awaken them from that sleep. Because the following happened…

During a reading by Sabina Classen and Dr. Nico Rose for their joint book “Laut.Stark.Leben – Zur Hölle mit den Selbstzweifeln” at Full Metal Holidays 2025 on Mallorca, Wacken co‑founder Holger Hübner suddenly stormed into the event. In front of the surprised audience, he declared that Sabina had to return to the stage. His reasoning was as direct as it was compelling: the chapter 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 had never truly been closed.

Vocalist Sabine explains:

Some things are merely sleeping, waiting for the right moment to wake up again. The songs, the friendship, the energy—everything feels amazingly familiar.

Guitarist and band founder Schrödey comments on the new song:

„Prayer“ is a requiem for all the souls we have lost: friends, companions, partners, and our beloved animals. The song was born on a dark night following the death of an old friend.

𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲?

𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 still possess the same charm they had back in the 90s. Naturally, the production has become cleaner and more forceful thanks to technical progress, but stylistically the decades seem to have passed without leaving a trace. The dark, threatening atmosphere remains at the forefront, and despite modern production, the sound retains a natural quality that preserves its raw intensity. “Prayer” leads the listener into the abyss, into the catacombs of madness marked by loss and sorrow.

Moreover, Fireflash Records have decided to sign 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃. With this move, the label underscores its versatility and strengthens its roster with yet another unconventional band. Fireflash Records are truly stepping on the gas – and there is much more to come in the months ahead.

UPDATE 24.07.’26: New Single „A Resurrection Story„

𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 are back with more! The new single „A Resurrection Story“ offers another glimpse of their upcoming album, though no further details about the record have been released just yet. Naturally, you will hear about it here as soon as new information becomes available. For now, let’s focus on the new song, „A Resurrection Story“. The track originally appeared on the 1999 album Mother Creator God; however, since that album was never released digitally, „A Resurrection Story“ has remained virtually unknown to many listeners to this day. Now, more than 25 years later, 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 has completely re-recorded the song, opening the door for a new generation to experience this special piece of the band’s history.

𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐃 have consciously brought the song into the present day. Its themes—inner transformation, restoration, and rediscovering one’s own voice—feel almost timeless today and strike a chord with the spirit of the times. While „Prayer“ speaks of memory, loss, and connection, „A Resurrection Story“ consistently continues this journey.
