𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐒 𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 „𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘂𝗺“

Es begab sich im Jahre 2022, als die Band Seventh Storm ihr Debüt 𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙨 veröffentlichten. Es ist ein großartiges Album, das in keiner Sammlung fehlen sollte, wenn man auf grandios komponierten Metal steht, der kraftvoll und episch auftritt. Besonders fiel mir Sänger Rez auf, der mit einer gnadenlos guten Stimme die Songs noch auf eine höhere Ebene hob, indem er mit viel Kraft und Emotionalität singt.

Leider habe ich dann lange nix von der Band gehört. Dann sah und hörte ich Rez beim Stöbern auf YouTube bei einer Band 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐒 die Single „Leviathan“. Der Sound erinnerte mich sofort an Seventh Storm, aber tatsächlich hatten sich Seventh Storm nach ihrem Debüt aufgelöst, obwohl sie damals sogar einen Vertrag bei Atomic Fire Records hatten.

Glücklicherweise entschieden sich vier der Bandmitglieder als 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐒 weiterzumachen. Was für ein Glück, auch wenn Mike Gaspar leider nicht mehr dabei ist! 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐒 sind definitiv eine Bereicherung der Metal-Szene. Diese unglaubliche Stimme gepaart mit den druckvollen atmosphärischen Metalsongs, die durch eine dunkle Aura gepägt sind, sorgt für fantastische Unterhaltung. Die Single „Leviathan“ erschien bereits vor einigen Monaten, bevor der Deal mit Fireflash Records geschlossen wurde.

Markus Wosgien hat als Gründer von Fireflash Records ein gutes Gespür für hervorragende Bands mit enormem Potential. Deshalb haben sie schon viele Hochkaräter unter dem Dach von Fireflash Records versammelt. Erst vor kurzem hat er sich z.B. die schwedische Thrash-Metal-Band Mezzrow geschnappt und nun hat er sich 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐒 an Land gezogen. Scheinbar war Markus von Seventh Storm und ihrem Debüt damals ebenfalls sehr begeistert, wie er hier ausführt:

Damals, als wir Atomic Fire Records gründeten, waren Seventh Storm einer unserer ersten Neuzugänge. Ihr Debütalbum „Maledictus“ war herausragend, ein wahres und einzigartiges Juwel im Dark-Metal-Genre. Die Band hatte einige ganz große Hymnen komponiert und einen Sänger, mit einer der intensivsten und unglaublichsten Stimmen, in ihren Reihen. Rez verkörpert das, was ich einen echten Rockstar nenne, der das, was er singt, lebt und atmet.

𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐒 freuen sich ebenfalls auf die Zusammenarbeit mit Fireflash Recods:

Seit wir damit begonnen haben, den Aufstieg von Maledictus vorzubereiten, wussten wir, dass wir mit Menschen zusammenarbeiten wollten, die unsere Vision wirklich verstehen. Schon früh fühlte es sich richtig an, Markus Wosgien anzusprechen. Da wir bereits zuvor mit ihm zusammengearbeitet hatten, vertrauten wir auf seine Erfahrung, seine Perspektive und das Vertrauen, das wir im Laufe der Zeit aufgebaut hatten. Wir sind stolz darauf, dieses neue Kapitel zusammen mit Fireflash Records einzuläuten. Diese Partnerschaft stellt einen großen Schritt nach vorne dar, der auf gemeinsamen Zielen und einer klaren Vision für die Zukunft basiert. Mit diesem gemeinsamen Vorhaben glauben wir fest daran, den besten Partner für unsere musikalische Zukunft gefunden zu haben

So erscheint die neue Single „Silentium“ nun unter der Flagge von Fireflash Records. Ein starke epische Hymne, die mit viel dunkler druckvoller Power, aber auch mit gefühlvollen Momenten auftritt. Das ist genau die Mischung, welche die Band ausmacht und in Perfektion beherrschen. Ich bin daher davon überzeugt, dass das kommende Album eine wahre Wucht werden wird.

Der Tod bringt die Stille des Lebens mit sich. Aus diesem schmerzhaften und unvermeidlichen Schicksal erhebt sich der Schrei von ‚Silentium‘: ein Heulen voller Zorn und Wut auf das manipulierte Spiel, das wir Leben nennen, in dem all unsere Konflikte und Dämonen wohnen. Dieser Song handelt davon, wie unsere schwersten Kämpfe und die Unfähigkeit, Frieden mit uns selbst zu finden, unseren eigenen Untergang herbeiführen können

It was in the year 2022 when Seventh Storm released their debut 𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙨. It’s a magnificent album that should be part of any collection if you appreciate masterfully composed metal with a powerful and epic presence. What stood out to me in particular was vocalist Rez, whose relentlessly strong voice lifted the songs to an even higher level, singing with both force and deep emotion.

Unfortunately, I didn’t hear anything from the band for quite some time. Then, while browsing YouTube, I stumbled upon Rez performing with a band called 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐒 and their single “Leviathan.” The sound immediately reminded me of Seventh Storm, but in fact, Seventh Storm had disbanded after their debut, even though they had been signed to Atomic Fire Records at the time.

Fortunately, four of the band members decided to continue on as 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐒. What a stroke of luck, even if Mike Gaspar is sadly no longer part of it. 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐒 are without a doubt a real enrichment to the metal scene. That incredible voice, paired with powerful, atmospheric metal songs shaped by a dark aura, makes for truly captivating listening. The single “Leviathan” was released several months ago, even before the deal with Fireflash Records was signed.

As the founder of Fireflash Records, Markus Wosgien has an excellent instinct for outstanding bands with enormous potential. That’s why so many heavy hitters have already gathered under the Fireflash banner. Only recently he snapped up the Swedish thrash metal band Mezzrow, and now he has brought 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐒 on board as well. Apparently, Markus was also very enthusiastic about Seventh Storm and their debut back then, as he explains here:

Back when we founded Atomic Fire Records, Seventh Storm were among our very first new signings. Their debut album Maledictus was outstanding — a true and unique gem within the dark‑metal genre. The band had written some truly monumental anthems and had a vocalist with one of the most intense and incredible voices in their ranks. Rez embodies what I would call a real rock star, someone who lives and breathes every word he sings.

𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐒 are equally excited about working with Fireflash Records:

Ever since we began preparing the rise of Maledictus, we knew we wanted to work with people who truly understand our vision. Early on, it felt natural to reach out to Markus Wosgien. So the new single “Silentium” is now being released under the Fireflash Records banner. It’s a strong, epic anthem that unfolds with dark, powerful intensity while also offering moments of genuine emotion. This blend is exactly what defines the band — and what they master to perfection. I’m therefore convinced that the upcoming album is going to be an absolute powerhouse.

Death brings with it the silence of life. From this painful and inevitable fate rises the scream of “Silentium”: a howl filled with anger and fury at the manipulated game we call life, where all our conflicts and demons reside. This song speaks of how our hardest battles — and our inability to find peace within ourselves — can ultimately lead to our own downfall.
