Die 2022 gegründete moderne Metalcore-Band HumanKind (Facebook) veröffentlicht ihre neue Single „Black Sands“. Mit ihrem Debüt An End, Once and for All haben sie 2023 bereits ein starkes Zeichen gesetzt. Emotionaler Metalcore auf hohem Niveau, der sowohl mit tollen Melodien als auch mit gehöriger Power auftritt.
Ihre Stärken haben sie im August noch mal mit ihrer EP lovely unter Beweis gestellt. „The Darkness I Own“ ist für mich ein absolut geiler Banger! Düster und mit einer beängstigenden Eindringlichkeit ausgestattet geht der Song unter die Haut.
Zur neuen Single „Black Sands“ sagt die Band folgendes:
„Black Sands“ behandelt die Last, schon in jungen Jahren große Verantwortung tragen zu müssen. Alles ist ein Kampf, nichts fällt einem zu, nichts gibt es umsonst. Es geht um die Sehnsucht nach einem greifbaren Wesen oder einer höheren Kraft, die uns die Last von den Schultern nimmt und in ihre Arme schließt, damit wir endlich zur Ruhe kommen und erkennen, dass das Leben mehr ist als nur kämpfen und leiden.
Persönlicher Eindruck: HUMANKIND setzen mit „Black Sands“ wieder ein fettes Ausrufezeichen! Der Song gehört mit zu den dunkelsten und härtesten ihrer Sammlung. Ein sphärischer Zwischenpart lässt ein wenig Ruhe reinkommen, aber zum Abschluss folgt dann noch mal ein krasser Weckruf, der mir allerdings etwas zu kurz ausfällt. Für meinen Geschmack hätte man den Songs gerne noch weiter ausdehnen können.

They demonstrated their strengths once again in August with their EP lovely. For me, „The Darkness I Own“ is an absolutely awesome banger! Dark and with a frightening intensity, the song gets under your skin.

„Black Sands“ deals with the burden of having to carry great responsibilities from a young age. Everything is a struggle, nothing comes easy, nothing is given for free. It addresses the longing for a tangible being or higher power that lifts the weight off our shoulders and takes us into its embrace, allowing us to finally rest and realise that life is more than just fighting and suffering
Personal impression: HUMANKIND deliver another big crusher with „Black Sands“! The song is one of the darkest and hardest songs in their collection. An atmospheric interlude brings a little calm, but the song ends with another brutal wake-up call. But the end comes to fast for me. For my taste, the song could have been extended even further.
